Girls who wear glasses.

DSC_7216-4

Katie wears these glasses around the house.
She thinks they are super cute.

Have you seen "How to Marry a Millionaire"?

It's pretty cute and funny.
So is Marilyn in her glasses.
(Her glasses play a big part in her story.)

Anyway.

It's always fun to wear glasses when you don't have to, isn't it?

There is a lesson in that...somewhere....

Have a lovely day!

Love ya!
Donna

  1. It will come as no surprise that I love glasses. The funkier, the better. And I'd pay big money for that pair of Marilyn's cateyes!!!! And those pink spex look totally normal to me. Says the girl in the oversized red cateyes. :)

  2. Boys do make passes at girls who wear glasses. Great movie. Katie was born in the wrong era, she definitely is a fifties and sixties girl.

  3. I read this post and thought immediately of Steph who has fabulous fashion sense when it comes to specs. :-) Katie wears these cute pink ones well.

I think I look "blank" without my glasses. They are part of me.

FYI, feels funny to be on the same time zone :-)

    1. I did, too, Susan. Stephie's glasses are always perfect!

Welcome to the states, Swiss Miss!!!

      Love,

Praying: Traveling Mercies, God be with you and bring you safely home Susan! (Anne Lamott)
Have a wonderful time in Alaska.

My husband and I are a funny pair of glasses wearers: I take mine off to read up close and he takes his off to see far off...we are of an age...if only I looked as good in glasses as the rest of you do and Katie and Marilyn, too. The first time I felt good about my glasses was when Madeleine L'Engle's character Meg Murry (who wore glasses) gets kissed by Calvin O'Keefe...I was in sixth grade at the time. Thanks be to God for the librarians of my youth. ;-) love and prayers, jep

    4. Susan, I have contacts for when I'm onstage with cameras, etc, but I don't ev wear them because they just don't look like me - I don't look like me without glasses on. I've worn them for 40 years - I'm 42!! - and the bold and vintage styles are my fave. I'm so glad to be able to enjoy something that I have to use, anyway...

Safe journey. You are usually just waking up now, and suddenly it's only 9.42 at night. You must be a jet lagged girl. Hope you can rest....

  5. Marilyn is so pretty that she can get away with wearing those frames! I will need to get glasses soon (for the first time). Wondering what the heck kind of frames I will get. :o)

  6. I always wanted them when I was growing up. My best friend Susannah had some. She was the coolest girl in our entire school. (And you know how cool that was, right?)

My Mom and Dad thought I was crazy.
