Friends

Donna and Karen and Katie

“There is nothing I would not do for those who are really my friends. I have no notion of loving people by halves, it is not my nature.”
~Jane Austen

“A friend is one that knows you as you are, understands where you have been, accepts what you have become, and still, gently allows you to grow.”
~William Shakespeare

“We'll be Friends Forever, won't we, Pooh?' asked Piglet.
Even longer,' Pooh answered.”

~A.A. Milne

“Why did you do all this for me?' he asked. 'I don't deserve it. I've never done anything for you.' 'You have been my friend,' replied Charlotte. 'That in itself is a tremendous thing.”
~E. B. White

A tremendous thing.

Encourage one another,
Donna

  1. That Jane Austen quote. I feel just that way. When I love someone I can't help but love them all the way.

    See you soon mom :)

  6. This makes me weepy as we just learned that our closest friends are moving to Medford, OR. Friendships are such a gift...one I do not take for granted.

Karen can still do cartwheels? WOW! Color me impressed. Of course, I have NEVER been able to do one (-:

Jep, I am thinking of you and your dad this morning. Would love to know how you are doing.

    Love,
    Di

    1. Don't be weepy! I'm sitting in the Medford Airport right now, a bit sad to be leaving. This area is a beautiful slice of heaven on Earth. (I spent my time here at Crater Lake National Park.) There are so many great adventures to be had here, made even better with the addition of friends. Distance is no hurdle to true friends.

Dear Ones, We are whirling dervishes here, going to show Dad's house tomorrow and must go this afternoon to get things staged with the remaining furniture. Why is it that at the point in the move where things are scattered to the four winds, that is always when someone wants to look? ;-) Actually we are beyond pleased to think that we might be able to sell it soon. Dad is getting along better each day in his new home. He thinks this has been the most stress free move he has ever made and for him it is. His comfort and happiness is what is really important, so we will just keep going with that knowledge tucked inside our hearts. Thank you so much for the prayers...they work! love and prayers, jep

  15. Distance is no hurdle for true friends. I love this post Donna! I've been so amazed in the past year that I've moved nine hours from my home at the friends that I've remained close to over the miles. Once you connect hearts, it's hard to shake that. Thanks for reminding me of this joy I have.
