Today is the day to get our Samaritan Purse Christmas Boxes together.
Emma's youth group is gathering up their boxes tomorrow night.

The only thing I am not sure about is...how much do you'll spend on the items in the box. I don't want to be cheap but I also don't want to go overboard.

If you have made a Christmas Child box please share with me how much you spend on each box. Thanks.

Katie just told me that we should include Christmas hooks.

Me: Christmas hooks? What are Christmas hooks? Do you mean candy canes?
Katie: No.
Me: Are they red and white?
Katie: No. They are silver.
Me: What do you use them for?
Katie: To hang up on the Christmas tree!
Me: Oh, the little hooks to hang up the ornaments.
Katie: Yes!
Me: Ohhhh...
Katie: Isn't that a thoughtful idea?

Shopping ought to be a funny experience this afternoon!

Katie has a funny way of naming things. Christmas hooks...Candy canes...really not that big of a stretch.

One day she was asking for a cheese log. A cheese log. What on earth?
What she really wanted was string cheese! But it does look like a cheese log :o)

Photo provided for those of you who do not live in the dairy state and are not blessed with things like cheese logs and cheese curds :o) or the Packers!

Have a fun day! Don't forget to let me know how much to spend. Please.
Donna
