Who ya gonna call Gingin?

Ginny making plans.

Funny little house in Madison.

Funny hobbit house in Madison.

We <3 MOM

I am the luckiest.

(Emma wrote me a love note in the sand.  Can you read it?)

On the square

“The first week of August hangs at the very top of summer, the top of the live-long year, like the highest seat of a Ferris wheel when it pauses in its turning. The weeks that come before are only a climb from balmy spring, and those that follow a drop to the chill of autumn, but the first week of August is motionless, and hot. It is curiously silent, too, with blank white dawns and glaring noons, and sunsets smeared with too much color.”
Natalie Babbitt, Tuck Everlasting

P.S.  All images are property of Donna Boucher
The pictures of Katie in the Queen Anne's Lace have been stolen and written on and gone viral and I knew nothing about it.  For some reason the kids on Tumblr and FB think any thing on the internet is fair game.
I disagree and when I share a picture on my blog I am not saying take this, it's yours.  I am sharing it with my friends...for this moment.
Yes I could put logos on them...but that ruins the picture imho.
I really should not have to worry about someone coming into my 'house' and taking something of mine.
So when I post this picture, which I think is so pretty, this is what comes to mind....
I think .... the stealers gonna steal.
And it makes me so sad.

  1. Oh how I hate that your pictures were stolen and then abused. As someone who appreciates so much the images that you share, this makes my heart so terribly sad. Even worse, that it was a picture of your precious child. I'm so terribly sorry about that. So sorry that you've had such an intrusion into your sweet corner of the blog world. Sending you big hugs of love and support from Texas this morning. xo

So sorry, Donna. I don't even know what to say about those creeps that stole your picture.

    Have a wonderful Friday everyone,

  3. Oh, I'm so sorry. You're such a fabulous photographer, of course someone is gonna want to try and steal it. It's sad, but true in this day and age.

That quote from Tuck Everlasting is my girl's absolute favorite quote of all. She used to have it hanging in her room at our house. I've used it on my blog during the first part of August many times. It's beautiful prose.

  4. We love you too Donna. Sorry about the photo stealing. My hubby puts the watermark on his PICS on FB and it sorta ruins them.

    Youdda best.

  5. I know this is a cuss-free zone, but DAN! those thieves. The internet, with all its wonders and possibilities, is sometimes just creepy! So sorry, Donna dear.

That Tuck Everlasting quote is perfect. Thanks to Dr. Who we had been talking about what it would be like to live forever (on earth...not the heavenly live forever) and Tuck did a great job of fleshing it out for us.

Ginny and the phone book...you are so funny!!!

    Love,
    Di

  13. I'd be livid! Especially if it were photos of my daughter. My home has been broken into twice, once as a teen when I lived with my parents, then later in life as an adult when I had my own home. My office at work was also broken into. I have absolutely NO tolerance for theft of any nature....none! I can't understand people who feel they're entitled to invade other's privacy and simply help themselves to things that don't belong to them. Don't get it at all! Ok...I've vented. Hugs!

  19. I'm really sorry for you, Donna. That's one of the reason I'm always scared to post person's pics on my blog. So complicate to control everything, everyone.
We love your pictures about your family.
