People. People who need people...

I went to Chicago for the holiday weekend.
Patrick came with for a short while and took a double decker tour around the city with us.
Then he headed home to work, work, work.

Katie and I say in the city with Emma.  She was dog sitting a very sweet greyhound-lab mix named Thor.  Thor wears a Thunder Shirt when it thunders and when there are fireworks.  His name is ill fitting I am afraid.  He is a sweet, doe-eyed dog.  A better name might be Bambi for Thor.
But anyway....

I am going to show you the first images I uploaded to my flickr.
My favorite images.

You will notice what I like to take pictures of.....
I can't help myself.

My may notice....the gorgeous light at this Starbucks.
It's in Lincoln Square.
I used my 50mm lens...and I used my iphone.
I'll show you some of those too.

We went to many new and famous restaurants....I will tell you all about those this week.

I hope you are all doing well.

We are.

Missed ya!

  1. I am so glad you had a wonderful time with the girls and Thor : ).
We didn't go anywhere. The kids keep telling me they will absolutely die if we don't go on a trip this summer and I assure them they will not die : ). I keep opening my wallet and hoping to find some extra money in there so I can take them on a trip, but as of yet, no extra money to be found.

I always thought seeing fireworks on a beach would be such fun. Was it crowded? Did you get any good firework pictures?

Happy Monday to my favorite girl in all of Wisconsin. Love, Becky

So glad you had fun visiting Emma and Thor! But of course those are your favorite photographic subjects!! The girls are, as always, so beautiful and they look like they have so much fun together. Can't wait to hear the food recap! :)

Molly left for Europe on Friday with her school soccer team and the girls weren't allowed to take phones. Not being able to talk to her for 17 days is going to be a challenge. I know she is having the time of her life, but boy oh boy I am missing her already!

Susan, no Switzerland stop! I would certainly have told you! :)

They were doing three days of sightseeing in Paris, followed by a week each in Sweden and Denmark for tournaments in each country. I look forward to the stories and pictures!

  4. That first picture of Katie and Emma is stunning!!! But the ones that just melt my heart are those sun-kissed pics in Starbucks. What sweet sisters.

We just got back from two days in San Francisco, and I thought of you as the Ferry Bldg. clock struck noon.

    Love you,
    Di

I LOVE these photos! every last one.

Lincoln Square? You were near Gene's Sausage Shop (where my daughter works on the weekend, in the roof-top beer garden!)

Can't wait to hear ALL about the restaurants you tried.

Katie and Emma are natural beauties. I am happy you all had a fun time together.
We stayed in DesMoines this weekend. Had fun and ate some great food. We really didn't want to come home yesterday, but back to reality!
Oh ya, I had an iced chai tea latte from Starbucks on Friday night while watching Despicable Me 2. I enjoyed the drink and the movie very much.

    Have a good one, everybody!
